Portti graded interchange and the Bunkkeri area
The new Portti graded interchange will join Selkäharjunkatu and main road 13 from Mikkeli. New industrial areas have been planned for the vicinity of the Portti graded interchange and along Selkäharjunkatu.
The Rännikorpi area will also be connected to central Lappeenranta through the Portti graded interchange.
North of the Portti graded interchange, in the Bunkkeri area, there are the historically significant Salpa Line defensive fortifications. The Bunkkeri overpass and the Ränni Bridge will be built in such a way that these valuable areas will be preserved. Furthermore, the recreational use of the area has been taken into consideration.
