Lavola graded interchange
The Helsingintie road and the Korkea-aho local road will be connected to main road 6 through the new Lavola graded interchange. The interchange was one of the first sites to be completed and it was opened for traffic in August 2008.
The Lavola graded interchange is the westernmost entrance to Lappeenranta city. It serves the traffic around the university and race track area. It also acts as the connection from the Uus-Lavola and Montala residential areas to main road 6.
Extensive industrial areas have been planned in the vicinity of the graded interchange and the airport.
